We provide services for our members, listings of products and data collection of machines listed on our site. We are an open source listing site for members and provide easy access to machine listings for our customers. We are the New Standard for Efficiency in the Used Machinery Marketplace.

2. What information does Machinery Associates Inc collect about you?

We collect the following information on our members and non-members.

Members: Our website does not contain any links for “registration” or “signup”. Our members are added directly to our database through personal interaction (Phone conversation, meeting in person, etc.)

The information we collect on our Members:

We may at any time, collect logging information such as IP address and browser information from our members. This information is to help our members have a better experience on our website. There are no cookies stored during this process and the information we collect is stored within our databases. This information is kept in our databases and cannot be removed by request. This is for legal purposes, if you at any time there is dispute we can refer to this information to validate our members.

We collect the following information when a member logs in to our website to use our services. This information cannot be removed, for legal purposes as stated above.

  • IP Address
  • Browser Information
  • Time of login

We collect the following information on our members for advertising purposes. The purpose of this information is at any time we may offer a “last viewed” section or a “listings you may like” or any variations. This information is collected so that we can bring our members a better experience in finding appropriate listings related to their viewing history.

  • Listings on our site that have been viewed by our members.

We collect additional information from our contact forms for our members as well. When a contact form is used, we save the information to our database as a reference for potential later usage such as if a listing becomes available we can contact the member who requested information about the listing. We collect the following information:

  • Listing information (Headline, MA ID, Model, Manufacturer)
  • First and Last Name
  • Company
  • Phone Number and Email address
  • Subject and Contents of the message
  • Validation information
  • IP Address
  • Browser Information

We keep our members information secure and safe. Our members have full access to view their information, including viewing history (once implemented on our site). This information can be edited by the member at any time. If our members would like to have their information removed from our database, a request by email is required with reason for removal.

If request for removal is approved, the following information is removed from our database.

  • Full Name
  • Company
  • Full Address
  • City, State, And Zip
  • Email address and any additional emails
  • Country
  • Phone and Fax numbers

When a member is removed, all listings for that member will be removed from our website and marked as “Deleted” status. These listings are not removed from our database, however member information is no longer associated with the listings.

Non-Members:

Our website does not contain any links for “registration” or “signup”. Our Non-Members(“Visitors”) can apply for membership through direct contact or by emailing us at info@machineryassociates.com. This does not guarantee membership or approval.

The information we collect on our Non-Members:

We may at any time, collect logging information such as IP address and browser information from our non-members. This information is to help our non-members have a better experience on our website. There are no cookies stored during this process and the information we collect is stored within our databases. This information is kept in our databases and cannot be removed by request. This is for legal purposes, if you at any time there is dispute we can refer to this information to validate our members.

We do not collect any information on our non-members for any advertising purposes. All information that we save on non-members is collected through the following methods:

“Potential later usage” may include the following:

  • If a listing becomes available we would be able to search our database and find the contact information on a non-member who requested information on a listing or similar listings.
  • If any requested information is not available at the time, we may be able to answer questions when information becomes available.

For listings for Non-Members:

We keep our non-members information secure and safe. Our Non-Members do not have access to their personal information through our login service, however, if requested we can provide the information we have stored within our database, if information exists, to our non-members. If our non-members would like to have their information removed from our database, a request by email is required with reason for removal.

When a non-member who has listings that are active on our site is removed, all listings for that non-member will be removed from our website and marked as “Deleted” status. These listings are not removed from our database; however, non-member information is no longer associated with the listings.

Our members and non-members have the option to opt out at any time to our newsletters and daily emails. Links for unsubscribing are provided at the bottom of each email.

For our members, you have the option to opt out directly from your account information within the members section of our website.

For non-members, you have the option to opt out by clicking the link provided through our emails.

3. Services we use and that may use your data.

Machinery Associates Inc provides our users with very limited 3rd party activity. However, we do use the following services that your information may be shared with and we encourage our users to review their privacy policies and terms. If you do not agree to their terms and policies, please discontinue use of our services.

  • SendGrid: SendGrid is our primary source for sending out our newsletters and daily emails. Please refer to https://sendgrid.com/ for additional information.
  • Linode: Linode is our hosting service provider. They do not collect information on our users, however our database is located on their server. Please refer to https://www.linode.com/ for additional information.
  • RingCentral: RingCentral is our primary VOIP provider. They store information on our direct callers who contact Machinery Associates through our 877-622-4657 telephone number. They may store information such as voicemails, phone numbers, and basic caller id information (full name, company, etc).   • Paypal: At times we may need to process a payment through paypal. We do so directly through their services. We do not have a link, processing page or any connection to paypal directly through our website. Please review their information https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

4. How we use the information we collect on our users, members and non-members

We use your information for the following purposes:

Newsletters and daily emails

Our members and non-members have the option to opt out at any time to our newsletters and daily emails. Links for unsubscribing are provided at the bottom of each email.

For our members, you have the option to opt out directly from your account information within the members section of our website.

For non-members, you have the option to opt out by clicking the link provided through our emails.

To respond to your requests

Any time a form is used to contact us, we want to make sure that we can respond not only in a timely manner but with the correct information. If we do not have the information you’ve requested available yet, we keep your information until new information becomes available then we can reach out and respond properly.

To list machines on behalf of non-members

Occasionally, we may use non-member information to create a listing on our website to sell a machine for that person. We will never use your information without your consent.

To improve our website

We may use your information to optimize our website for a better experience for our users. Such information as error logs, pages accessed, and browser information may be used.

To provide listings in our on site advertising areas that may be of interest.

We provide a local (our site only) advertising of listings on our site. For example, if a user comes to our site and shows interest in CNC Routers, then listings may show up for CNC Routers on the site in advertising locations. These links will NEVER lead our users to another site. These are Machinery Associates Inc listings only.

5. How we share your information.

We may share your personal information such as your email address with our Email Delivery Service (SendGrid.net). This is only if you have opted in to allowing us to send this information and you can opt out at any time.

We do not share your personal information with any other services.

We will never transfer your personal data to any other system.

We here at Machinery Associates Inc are dedicated to making sure we are compliant with the new GDPR policies.

Currently we are not accepting any members from the EU area.

By using our contact forms for any purpose, you are agreeing that we may store your information as listed above.

Any time a form is used to contact us, we want to make sure that we can respond not only in a timely manner but with the correct information. We are currently using the highest standard in Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to assure the safety of any information passed through our forms.

Only Administrators who are granted access are able to access your personal information.

We DO NOT store any credit card information.

While we use the latest in technology to secure our site to protect your personal information, no website or amount of security implemented is completely impenetrable and because of that we cannot guarantee that data stored on our server or transferred at any time through our website is completely safe from maliciousness. Please keep in mind that by using our services, you are agreeing to this risk and you may request at any time that your information be removed from our databases with the exception of log information.

We may use services such as social media, blogs or forums. We will never use any personal information in any posts, comments, updates, or any other form of communication with our blogs or social media.
