We have just acquired a used HPM machine. This machine platform is designed to do high production mortising and hinge piloting on face frame parts. It can do 10 – 12,000 parts per 8 hour shift. This machine new comes installed and shipped for $219,500. Pillar is going to gut the electronics on this machine and give it all new: Computer system Servo Package Motion Control Pillar will also clean up the machine and replace any excessively warn parts. This is not a complete refurbishment. That would bring the cost too high. We won’t be repainting or fixing any dings (unless they keep the machine from running properly) The machine comes with a 90 day warranty and service would carry all the parts. Description HPM The HPM machine is a hopper fed stile proccessing machine for mortised (blind or full) face frames . This is a perfect companion to our CXT machine. It comes with two zones allowing for simultaneous processing of two 48" stiles at a time, and can also process a 96" stile. The machine can run in a two zone mode offering different programs in either zone. (Left and right stiles) Or it can be configured into one zone for a 96" part. This machine comes with 4 carriages working independently of one another. So, when in a 2 zone mode, four mortises can be done at the same time. This is how the HPM manages to make 10 -12,000 parts per shift. Machine to Include: HPM SPECS HPM SUMMARY MACHINE CONFIGURATION 96" maximum work piece length - (1) 6Hp high frequency 18,000 RPM router spindle for processing of a linear mortise Hopper Feeder for each work zone PC INTERFACE A 15" High Resolution Industrial Touch screen is used for the operator interface to store, recall, and run programs. The Touchscreen specifications are as follows: INDUSTRIAL COMPUTER INDUSTRIAL COMPUTER Specifications: OPERATOR INTERFACE The on screen graphics of the Operator Interface have been designed to allow for quick programming at the machine. Typically, programs can be written and recalled in less than one minute. WORKSURFACE The table top is comprised of 1" thick machined aluminum to ensure a true and reliable reference point. MACHINE BASE CONSTRUCTION The machine frame is constructed of an all welded 1/4" tubular steel frame for rigidity and accuracy. The carriage rail of 4 inch by 12 inch rectangular steel is machined on two adjacent surfaces simultaneously to guarantee the table top and tool carriage are absolutely parallel with each other. The linear rail bosses are welded to this carriage rail prior to machining. During the machining process the linear rail bosses are machined at the same time as all carriage rail features to guarantee that the linear rails are exactly perpendicular to the table top. WORK ZONES The machine is equipped with 2 independent work zones Two independent hopper feeds are included with the machine. Hopper with capability of single or double zone. Ability to do two 48" parts at same time or one 96" part. PART RETURN The HPM is equipped with a part return to operator. MACHINE CARRIAGES Two independent machining heads are included with the machine. Each head is equipped with: (2) 6 HP High Frequency 18,000 RPM Direct Drive Routing Spindle with independent CNC depth control for mortise routing.
